We also noticed that the floor lamp was not plugged in probably because the plug was bent. Everything in the room looked tidy until we discovered that the refrigerator was not emptied from the previous guest, and the light bulb was missing from the nightstand lamp. The floor to ceiling windows in the room gave us a great view of the boardwalk, ocean, and the Brigantine beaches in the distance. Employees also seem to be better trained (compared to the previous hotel) to give information and directions. Check-in went smoothly and our room location request was granted without a problem. Upon entry, we noticed one much needed improvement immediately-increased signage showing directions which is almost mandatory given such a spacious facility.
We arrived with the hope that significant improvements were made from the previous hotel (Revel) housed in this lavish glass building. Our 2-night stay at Ocean left us looking forward to returning for more. First impressions indicate that it’s working. Two “new” hotels recently opened in time for the summer season hoping to revitalize the northern end of the AC boardwalk.
